The description is "Well-worn from years of use, the leather holster is like a part of you." The gun is in the holster. The description is "This is your Colt five-shot revolver." Understand "colt" and "revolver" as the gun. The badge is worn by the player. The description is "This tin star identifies you as the deputy." The white hat is worn by the player. The description is "A trim white hat with a 'montana peak.'" The brass key is carried by the player. Instead of examining yourself: say "You are John Hero the deputy of Spitoon, Texas." Section 1 - The Jail Cell The cell door is an open lockable door and scenery in the Jailhouse. It is east of the Jailhouse and west of the Jail Cell. The iron key unlocks the cell door. The Jail Cell is a room. "This small cell is built for functionality not comfort as it is furnished with only an old wooden cot to sit or sleep on." The wooden cot is an enterable supporter in the Jail Cell. It is scenery. The description is "The cot is made of rough-hewn old wood. It feels uncomfortable just looking at it." Chapter 3 - The Saloon The Saloon is east of Main Street. "The saloon is fairly busy today with people sitting at tables, playing cards, and drinking. A staircase leads up to the second floor. There is an exit to the west." The staircase_up is scenery in the Saloon. The description is "The railed staircase, carpeted with a rich red fabric, leads up to the second floor of the saloon." Understand "staircase" and "stairs" as staircase_up. The patrons are scenery in the Saloon. Understand "people" and "customers" as the patrons. The description is "A mixed bunch who seem to be enjoying themselves." The playing cards are scenery in the Saloon. The description is "No need to be concerned about that." The tables are scenery in the Saloon. The description is "The typical sort of round, cheaply-made tables you would find in a place such as this." Rose is a woman in the Saloon. "Rose, the Saloon's 'madame', moves amongst the patrons." Poodles Sanchez is a man in the Saloon. Understand "sweet tooth" as Poodles Sanchez. "Dancing in the middle of the floor is Poodles Sanchez." Spitz is a man in the Saloon. "Spitz, the bartender, is wiping off shot glasses and quietly whistling to himself." Charley is a man in the Saloon. "Charley, drunk as usual, stands alone at the bar trying to keep his balance." Section 1 - The Upstairs Hallway Upstairs Hallway is up from Saloon. "Standing in the dim hallway above the saloon, there are two doors marked A1 and A2 to the west and east respectively. There are stairs leading down." The staircase_down is scenery in the Upstairs Hallway. The description is "The railed staircase, carpeted with a rich red fabric, leads down to the first floor of the saloon." Understand "staircase" and "stairs" as staircase_down. The _hallway is scenery in the Upstairs Hallway. The description is "In the dim light of the hallway, you can see two doors marked A1 and A2 to the west and east respectively. There are stairs leading down." Understand "hallway" and "hall" as _hallway. Door A1 is a door and scenery. It is west of the Upstairs Hallway and east of the Front Suite. Instead of knocking on Door A1: say "There is no response." The Front Suite is a room. Door A2 is a door and scenery. It is east of the Upstairs Hallway and west of the Back Suite. Instead of knocking on Door A2: say "You hear some movement from inside but then silence." The Back Suite is a room. Chapter 4 - The Candy Shop The Candy Shop is east of South Main Street. "The shop has a large glass case in the center of the shop. There is an exit to the west." The glass case is a locked lockable transparent container in the Candy Shop. It is scenery. The glass case contains 25 lollipops. Chapter 5 - The Church The Church is south of South Main Street. "The church is empty and quiet. There is an exit to the north. In the rear of the Church there are stairs that lead up." Section 1 - The Belltower The Belltower is up from the Church. "Dominating the belltower, one large bell hangs silently. Stairs lead down." The bell is in the belltower. The description is "The iron bell is massive standing near it. How did they ever get it up here?" Chapter 6 - The Railroad Station The Railroad Station is west of North Main Street. "The railroad station is not much more than a wooden platform parallel to the railroad tracks. To the east is North Main Street."
